About the Role
A leading beverage company situated in Cape Town is urgently seeking an experienced Laboratory Coordinator to join their team. The successful incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of laboratory results, managing laboratory staff, and maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring of production records after production
- Verification of Lab equipment to ensure accurate testing results
- Compiling reports for Internal and External purposes
- Final Approval of COAs
- Managing Laboratory Staff to ensure the lab functions optimally
- Tasting of product for approval during Inspections
- Review of Non-conforming product for possible release/rejection
- Investigating Customer complaints
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Food Technology, Chemistry or Microbiology
- 5-Years experience working as a Lab Coordinator / Lab Supervisor /Lab Manager; leading a QC-team, in a Food Manufacturing environment
- Minimum 3 years experience with lab equipment: DMA/Alcolyzer; Mettler Titrators required
- Knowledge of ISO17025 advantageous
- Proficient in the MS Office suite (MS Word, Excel and Outlook)
