About the Role
Helen Wilson Recruitment is seeking a By-Products Trader for Feed Inputs in Natal Midlands, South Africa. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced trader to join our team, responsible for sourcing high-quality energy, protein, and fiber feed components for poultry, swine, and cattle operations across Southern Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Sourcing and procurement of by-products such as Maize Bran, Wheat Bran, Maize Germ Meal, Soya Hulls, Cottonseed Meal, Soya Bean Meal, and Sunflower Oilcake from farmers and processors.
- Negotiating pricing based on supply and demand, harvest outlook, and exchange rates.
- Selling to feed manufacturers, poultry and feedlot operators, and large farming groups.
- Building long-term supply contracts.
- Arranging transport (road/rail) and storage (silos, warehouses).
- Managing cross-border shipments to the SADC region.
- Identifying supply gaps in neighboring countries and developing new customers in Zambia, Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe to expand volumes and trading routes.
Requirements
- Two to Five years of experience in agri trading of beans (Soybeans/Soybean Oilcake) in the SADC region.
- Ability to live and work in the Natal Midlands, with possibility of remote work.
