About the Role
Hire Resolve, a reputable Recruitment firm, is currently looking for an experienced Imports Controller for a logistics and supply chain company. As an Imports Controller, you will play a key role in managing the imports process for clients, with a focus on workplace satisfaction and finding the best candidates for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all import activities, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
- Prepare and review import documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and packing lists.
- Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth import operations.
- Monitor shipment status and track delivery schedules to ensure timely arrival of goods.
- Resolve any issues or delays related to import shipments.
- Maintain accurate records of all import transactions and related documentation.
- Ensure proper classification and valuation of imported goods in accordance with customs regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of import policies and procedures.
- Provide support and guidance to internal teams on import-related matters.
- Stay updated on changes in import laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Requirements
- Relevant degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Imports Controller or similar role
- Strong knowledge of imports regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements
- Experience in using imports documentation software and tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work well in a team environment
