About the Role
We are seeking a detail-driven and hands-on Purchasing & Procurement Manager to lead all procurement functions at our high-end 5-Star safari operation in Sabi Sands, Hazyview. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient sourcing of quality goods and services, maintaining supplier relationships, and driving cost efficiencies while supporting seamless lodge operations in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and uphold procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with internal controls and audit requirements
- Oversee the end-to-end procurement process; ensuring timely ordering and delivery
- Manage supplier relationships; contracts, and service delivery standards
- Monitor and manage procurement budgets and expenditure
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
- Produce accurate monthly procurement and cost reports
- Oversee stock management; stock takes, and inventory control
- Ensure effective management of all store categories including: Food (fresh, frozen, dry goods), Beverages, Consumables and chemicals, Maintenance supplies (tools, fuel, gas), Operating equipment and stationery
- Lead, train, and develop the stores team
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of critical operational items
- Drive continuous improvement in procurement strategies and processes
Requirements
- RSA ID and legal residence essential
- Minimum 5 years experience in a purchasing and procurement role (hospitality preferred)
- Strong numerical; analytical, and budgeting skills
- Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Sage X3)
- HMS Infor experience advantageous
- Excellent command of English (written and verbal)

Salary & Benefits
- R27 000 per month (Basic Salary)
