About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Computer Literacy Assistant Instructor to support our lead instructor in delivering lessons to learners from Grade 1 through Grade 9. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for someone who is building their teaching experience, has basic computer skills, and genuinely enjoys working with young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the lead instructor in setting up the classroom and equipment before each session
- Support learners one-on-one or in small groups during class: helping those who are struggling or progressing faster
- Circulate the classroom to identify learners who need extra help
- Monitor and encourage learner engagement and participation throughout each session
- Assist with marking attendance registers and updating learner progress notes
- Help pack away and secure all equipment safely after each class
- Report any learner concerns or equipment issues to the lead instructor
- Step in to lead the class if the lead instructor is temporarily unavailable
- Maintain a positive, respectful, and encouraging relationship with all learners
- Uphold the KayTech Nexa Code of Conduct and all school rules at all times
Requirements
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Some experience working with or caring for children in any setting
Patient, kind, and encouraging with learners of all abilities
Reliable, punctual, and willing to take initiative
Qualifications
Matric Certificate (minimum)
Salary & Benefits
R4,000 – R8,000 per month based on experience and hours
