About the Role
Network Finance is seeking an experienced Operational & Asset Accountant to join their team in the Western Cape region. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for managing the full fixed asset lifecycle and providing financial insights to operational teams. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full fixed asset lifecycle
- Maintain asset registers, depreciation, amortisation, and reconciliations
- Perform physical asset verification and strengthen controls
- Support operational and project teams with financial insights
- Ensure IFRS compliance and accurate asset reporting
- Monitor and analyse key cost drivers across stores
- Translate FP&A insights into practical operational actions
- Drive cost efficiency and financial accountability at a business unit level
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional registration preferred (SAICA / SAIPA / CIMA)
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in asset accounting or commercial finance
- Experience in multi-entity / multi-site environments
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and fixed asset accounting principles
- Solid understanding of depreciation, amortisation, and compliance
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, and Business Central)
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving ability
- High attention to detail and ability to handle high transaction volumes
