About the Role
Network Contracting is seeking an experienced Financial Manager to lead our finance function and drive business growth in Johannesburg West. The successful candidate will provide commercial insights, manage cash flow, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full finance function, including accounting, payroll, procurement, and administrative operations
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting cycles (monthly and annual)
- Provide commercial insights to support operational and strategic business decisions
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury activities
- Take ownership of credit control, receivables, and financial risk management
- Drive cost accounting, margin analysis, and performance reporting across the business
- Prepare financial models, business cases, and investment evaluations
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, tax, and statutory requirements
- Manage external relationships including auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies
- Oversee financial systems and ERP integrity, including improvements and implementations
- Identify and implement process improvements across finance and support functions
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, fostering a high-performance culture
- Support procurement governance, supplier management, and cost optimisation initiatives
- Contribute to transformation and compliance objectives in line with South African legislation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (NQF 7)
- Must have managed a team of staff
- Must be a CIMA or a CA(SA)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a finance or management accounting role
- Prior exposure to a manufacturing or production environment is highly advantageous
- Strong Excel and financial systems/ERP experience
- Solid understanding of cost accounting, financial analysis, and reporting
