About the Role
We are seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join our team at Dynamic Outsourced Solutions Pty. Ltd in Ekurhuleni. As a key member of our production and manufacturing activities, you will be responsible for setting machines, operating CNC machines, and ensuring the successful operation of our workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Set machines to read programs and perform correct functions
- Operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as CNC turning, drilling, tapping, milling, chamfering, and other machining operations
- Read and understand drawings and works instructions to carry out production tasks correctly
- Ensure correct use of machining tools and equipment
- Prepare and feed raw materials into the machines
- Prepare test runs to assess NC program outputs
- Inspect and measure pre-machined and finished jobs
- Send pre-machined jobs for QC release
- Send final and finished jobs for QC release
- Carry out daily inspection on the condition of the machine before operation
- Constantly monitor the operation of the machines during production
- Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure proper functionality
- Maintain correct use of PPE and safety equipment
- Assist with assembling of valves and piping systems, as required
- Assist with pressure testing procedures, as required
- Sort and organise machine shop and CNC areas
- Go out to do deliveries and collections, as required
- General housekeeping of machine shop and CNC areas
Requirements
- 3-5 years working experience
- Matric / Grade 12
- Any other mechanical engineering qualification or skills straining certification will be an added advantage
- G-code training certificate will be an added advantage
- Experience with valve manufacturing will be an added advantage
- Experience with pipe fabrication will be an added advantage
- Experience with any other Metal and Engineering industry will be an added advantage
