About the Role
A well-established Restaurant based in Johannesburg is seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead our team and drive business growth. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless operations, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and driving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in recruiting, hiring and training all restaurant staff, including servers and hosts
- Scheduling employees to ensure shifts have proper coverage and are within the required working hours for the week
- Streamlining the restaurant processes to improve the guest experience
- Monitoring restaurant finances, including sales targets and management of expenses
- Enforcing food handling regulations and other guidelines to increase customer and staff safety
- Promoting the restaurant and strategizing on ways to bring in more customers
- Handling customer complaints closely with the Floor Manager
- Completing necessary paperwork, such as sales, inventory and staff log reports
- Submitting monthly payroll to the Operations Manager timeously to ensure that staff are paid on time
- Analysing stock to ensure that purchases remain within budget
- Managing equipment maintenance
- Taking accountability of the store as a whole to ensure a smooth operation
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Minimum of 2 years as a restaurant manager
- Must be well presented
- Be able to communicate fluently in English
- Customer Facing GAAP
Qualifications
- Relevant degree or course (Advantageous)
