About the Role
We are seeking a detail-driven Front of House Night Auditor to join our luxury hotel in Cape Town. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reconciliation, supporting overnight hotel operations, and delivering exceptional guest service excellence during night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
• Audit daily revenue reports to ensure all income is accurately recorded
• Verify departure reports and guest checkout folios to identify discrepancies
• Reconcile credit card transactions and close batches accurately
• Review allowances, rebates, discounts, paid outs, and room transfers
• Ensure correct processing of promotions, loyalty programmes, and charge slips
• Prepare and process nightly financial and handover reports
• Balance Food & Beverage pre-lists and report discrepancies
• Provide accurate guest information and support during night operations
• Handle guest messages, mail, packages, and faxes efficiently
• Respond effectively to emergencies and safety situations
• Oversee night operations across departments (Housekeeping, In-Room Dining, Stewarding, Security)
• Support smooth Front Office continuity during night shifts
• Maintain professional appearance, conduct, and service standards
• Relieve the Night Manager when required
• Support Front Office systems and operational procedures
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies
• Maintain accurate records and operational consistency
• Continuously improve efficiency and departmental knowledge
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- 2–3 years’ experience in a similar FOH Night Auditor role
- Accounting or hospitality finance experience advantageous
- Strong Front Office systems knowledge
- Fluent in English (additional languages advantageous)
