About the Role
A leading food company situated in Alberton, Gauteng is urgently seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager (cold chain) to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering business results and ensuring the efficient operation of our cold store warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Full leadership, management, and cost control of 3 shifts
- Correct operation ensuring maintenance are done and cover working of all MHE
- Correct loading and off-loading, of all vehicles
- Correct operation and Maintenance of Docks, and Freezer equipment
- Adherence to Safety standards and operating procedures
- Managing of all staff (leave, absenteeism etc.) and allocating of staff to complete workload
- Communication with internal and external clients
- Control of pallet movement
- Control of bulk crate movement
- Storage efficiencies
- Transfer efficiencies
- Stock movement recorded accurately
Requirements
- Relevant qualification at NQF 6 Level (Warehouse Management, Supply Chain Management)
- At least 5 years Cold Store Warehouse experience and distribution experience at managerial level
- Cold chain management experience in the FMCG sector is an added advantage
