Job Description

Join a well‑established logistics and transport group where you will play a key role in supporting financial governance, reporting accuracy, and operational excellence across multiple business entities. This role is ideally suited to a individual who has recently completed their SAIPA/SAICA Articles. Why join this team? Be part of a fast‑paced, collaborative environment focused on delivering high‑quality service Work across several group entities, gaining exposure to diverse business operations Opportunity to learn, grow, and take full ownership of your work Supportive leadership team committed to your professional development What you will be doing: Prepare financial reports for multiple group entities Maintain and control fixed asset registers Prepare weekly sales and monthly commission reports Review debtors and creditors ageing Ensure compliance with Income Tax, VAT, PAYE, COID, annual returns, and statutory filings Compile monthly management accounts for all group entities Support BBBEE compliance across trading companies Prepare annual budgets in collaboration with relevant stakeholders Complete annual financial statements with auditors Handle tax planning, tax computations, and tax submissions Manage daily accounting transactions and month‑/year‑end closings Perform bank reconciliations and ensure timely financial reporting Monitor financial health, liquidity, and confidentiality of financial data Conduct regular database backups Prepare budget forecasts and publish financial statements timeously What we are looking: Experience & Qualifications Completed BCom in Financial Accounting or similar Completed SAIPA/SAICA Articles Skills & Competencies Ability to take responsibility and be fully accountable Strong problem‑solving capability Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organised, structured, and detail‑oriented Strong technical background in reporting and statutory compliance Proficient time‑management and prioritisation skills Ability to work independently and within a team Systems Experience Winfreight TMS (training will be provided) SAGE Evolution SAGE Pastel Payroll Draftworx Additional Requirements Solid and confidential references Credit and qualification verification Benefits and unique aspects: Competitive basic salary Pension fund contributions Exposure to multiple business entities and growth opportunities Supportive leadership and a culture that encourages learning and career growth Please note if you haven’t heard back from us within two weeks of submitting your application, unfortunately your application has not been successful this time.
