About the Role
We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Operator to join our team in Benoni. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining our CNC lathes, ensuring high-quality production while adhering to strict safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes (manual and automated cycles)
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Select, set and adjust cutting tools, speeds and feeds
- Perform operations including turning, threading, boring, grooving and facing
- Check and adjust offsets, tool wear, and cutting parameters
- Troubleshoot equipment issues
- Complete job card, inspection records and quality documentation
- Comply with ISO 45001 safety standards and workshop rules
Requirements
- Matric / NQF Level 4 Relevant technical experience
- Apprenticeship completed or Trade tested
- Minimum 5 years of relevant CNC lathe operation experience
