Job Title: Specialist: Accountant Dealership: Free State Divisional Head Office Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Specialist: Accountant based in Bloemfontein to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with expertise in financial reporting, analysis, and compliance. The Specialist: Accountant will be responsible for managing the company’s financial records, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, and providing strategic guidance on financial matters. Duties and Responsibilities: – Prepare and analyse financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements – Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s growth and profitability goals – Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities – Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes – Ensure compliance with GAAP and other financial regulations – Monitor and evaluate financial performance metrics – Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making – Participate in audits and other financial reviews – Hyperion Uploads and Reporting Annual Tax Pack. – Returns Monthly VAT GL Recon. – Review FSP Calculations and Returns Cash Book. – Management Loading Payments. – Cash Management Reporting All Reconciliations. – Ensure that the correct accounting policies and procedures are being follow at all times. – Manage the full capex process Qualifications: – Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance – CPA certification preferred – 3 years of experience in accounting or finance – Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices – Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel – Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills – Strong attention to detail and accuracy – Ability to work independently and as part of a team – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience – 1 2 years experience in a similar environment. – Financial Services experience will be good but not essential.
