Minimum Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management
• Formal training in project planning and scheduling
• Advanced proficiency in MS Projects (non-negotiable)
• 8–10 years’ relevant experience

Advantageous

• PMI-SP / PMP certification
• PSP / CCP – AACE International certification
• ECSA Registration (Candidate or Professional)

Required Experience

• Proven project planning experience within mining environments
• Strong track record on brownfield / SIB capital projects in live operational environments
• Extensive MS Project experience across multidisciplinary scopes including Mechanical, Electrical, C&I, and Civil
• Demonstrated experience in shutdown planning and execution environments
• Experience working within Owner’s Teams / PMOs

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Schedule Development

• Develop and maintain integrated Level 2–4 schedules across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning
• Build logic-driven, resource-aware schedules aligned with site constraints and shutdown requirements

Portfolio Integration

• Consolidate multiple SIB projects into a single master schedule
• Identify resource conflicts, shutdown overlaps, and production interface risks

Progress Measurement & Reporting

• Implement quantity-based physical progress measurement systems
• Produce weekly and monthly reports including S-curves, variance analysis, and recovery plans

Critical Path & Risk Management

• Continuously monitor critical path and near-critical activities
• Perform scenario analysis and quantify schedule impacts resulting from risks and project changes

Shutdown Planning & Execution Support

• Develop detailed shutdown schedules down to task level where required
• Align execution sequencing with operational, safety, and access constraints

Contractor & Stakeholder Coordination

• Review and challenge contractor schedules to ensure logic integrity and realism
• Act as the central point of truth for schedule status across stakeholders

Governance & Controls

• Maintain schedule baselines and enforce change control procedures
• Apply schedule quality standards, including DCMA checks and client PMO governance requirements
