About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Specialist (Engineer/Scientist) to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our data infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing modern data solutions that drive business insights, performance, and growth. Key Responsibilities
- Data Engineering & Development: Design, build, and optimise data warehouse solutions to support reporting and analytics
- Develop and maintain efficient data pipelines to ingest and transform data from multiple sources
- Ensure high levels of data quality, consistency, and accessibility across platforms
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of data architecture in line with business growth
- Data Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with business units to understand data requirements and translate them into actionable solutions
- Create intuitive dashboards and visualisations to support decision-making
- Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Identify opportunities to improve data processes, accuracy, and efficiency
- Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to support evolving needs
- Collaborate with leadership to scale and future-proof data capabilities
- Data Governance & Maintenance: Maintain and monitor data systems to ensure reliability and performance
- Oversee API integrations, ensuring stability and adherence to best practices
- Implement strong data governance, security, and compliance standards
