About the Role

We’re seeking an exceptional Lead DevSecOps Engineer to take ownership of security engineering within our modern cloud-native environment. As a key member of our team, you’ll drive initiatives across detection engineering, cloud security, infrastructure as code, automated response capabilities, and secure software delivery. Key Responsibilities

  • Building and evolving security capabilities across a cloud-first environment
  • Driving detection engineering and improving visibility across systems, applications, and infrastructure
  • Developing automated responses to security events and indicators of compromise
  • Improving platform resilience through load testing, security simulations, and proactive engineering practices
  • Embedding security controls directly into CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code workflows
  • Implementing policy-as-code and automated security gates to strengthen software delivery
  • Working closely with engineering teams to improve security throughout the development lifecycle
  • Enhancing monitoring, alerting, threat detection, and incident response capabilities
  • Contributing to cloud security architecture and platform design decisions
  • Establishing standards that improve operational security and long-term maintainability

Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • 10 years of experience working in DevSecOps, Cloud Security, Site Reliability Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related disciplines
  • Staying current with developments across security, cloud technologies, automation, and AI
  • Deep hands-on experience securing cloud environments, particularly AWS
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code is essential
  • Understanding of networking, cloud infrastructure, containers, application security, and modern deployment practices
