About the Role
We are seeking a results-driven Logistics Business Development Manager to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a seasoned sales professional with a deep understanding of international logistics, you will drive new business acquisition and deliver profitable, long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business acquisition within Air and Sea Freight services
- Identify, qualify, and convert high-value logistics opportunities
- Prepare accurate freight costings and tailored service proposals
- Present end-to-end logistics solutions aligned to client requirements
- Manage the onboarding and implementation of new clients
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts
- Maintain accurate CRM records and structured sales reporting
- Achieve agreed sales targets while protecting margin
- Operate in line with internal quality management systems and compliance standards
Requirements
- Matric (essential)
- Sales & Marketing qualification (advantageous)
- 5 years sales experience in a service-based environment
- Minimum 3 years in Clearing & Forwarding
- Strong working knowledge of:
- International trade
- INCOTERMS
- Tariff structures and freight pricing
- Air & Sea Freight operations
- CRM systems
- Microsoft Office
