About the Role

We are seeking a highly capable Sales Operations Leader to join our Cape Town HQ, responsible for ensuring operational excellence across the Sales and Customer Support teams. The successful candidate will execute, enforce, and optimise the existing sales framework, reporting directly to the Sales Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the company’s established sales strategy and operating rhythms to achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Drive strict adherence to existing sales processes, systems, and KPIs across the team, while fostering a strong culture of data accuracy and system discipline
  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of sales professionals and customer support staff, fostering a high-performance, accountable culture
  • Conduct regular ride-alongs and in-field coaching to develop sales capability, reinforce best practices, and improve conversion rates
  • Ensure disciplined pipeline management, including accurate forecasting, opportunity progression, and CRM utilisation
  • Own and drive effective use of the company’s CRM and SAP ERP systems to ensure data integrity, visibility, and operational efficiency
  • Hold team members accountable to activity targets, performance metrics, and behavioural standards
  • Oversee the full sales cycle execution from lead management and customer engagement through to order fulfilment and ongoing relationship management
  • Integrate and manage Customer Support operations to ensure fast query resolution, strong customer satisfaction, and retention
  • Monitor and analyse sales, CRM, and ERP data, using insights to identify trends, gaps, and performance improvement opportunities
  • Produce and interpret regular reports on pipeline health, sales performance, and customer activity to support decision-making
  • Identify operational inefficiencies or bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement within the existing framework

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Science, or a related field (essential)
  • Minimum of 5 years proven experience managing and leading sales teams in a B2B environment
  • Strong track record of executing established sales strategies and consistently achieving targets
  • Experience in sales coaching, particularly through field engagement (ride-alongs)
  • Strong operational mindset with the ability to manage systems, processes, and cross-functional coordination
  • Experience working with CRM systems & ERP platforms | SAP experience highly advantageous
  • Strong data literacy, with the ability to interpret reports, analyse sales and operational metrics, and translate insights into action
  • Solid analytical capability, including forecasting, pipeline analysis, and performance tracking

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within South Africa when required
