Job Summary
Our client requires a passionate Pastry Chef to join their bakery team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Daily running and overseeing of all pastry preparations. Work closely with the Head Chef to create innovative desserts, pastries and confectionery items. Continuously explore new techniques, flavours and trends in pastry-making to keep the menu fresh and exciting. Staff management. Inventory and stock management. Applications are awaited from persons who comply with the following: Degree or diploma in culinary arts. Minimum 4 years` experience in a similar position. Minimum 1 years` experience in a senior role. An extensive repertoire of pastry and confectionery techniques and trends. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to function as part of a team. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with challenging deadlines. Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays. Own transport.
