Cape Town City Centre: Production Branch Manager – Montague Gardens

About the Role

The Branch Manager will provide support to the Branches and report directly to the Operations Manager, playing a key role in daily operations, planning, and managing of the branch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily operations
  • Planning and managing of the branch
  • Negotiating purchases with suppliers
  • Leading and managing a team to achieve operational requirements
  • Ensuring Company policies and procedures and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to
  • Maintaining excellent customer relations
  • Accurately classifying and grading commodities as per the set commodities list
  • Ensuring commodities are weighed correctly at all times

Requirements

  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Computer proficiency: packages required – MS Word, Excel
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans
  • Ability to work quickly and under pressure

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Own reliable transport
  • At least 3-5 years applicable managerial experience
