FOH Night Auditor | Luxury Hotel | Cape Town

Salary: Negotiable DOE
Live-out Position
Location: Cape Town

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced FOH Night Auditor to join a luxury hotel in Cape Town. This role is responsible for accurate financial reconciliation, supporting night-time operations, and ensuring excellent guest service during overnight shifts.

Key Requirements:

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • 23 years experience in a similar role within comparable hotels
  • Accounting qualification or relevant experience
  • Proficiency in Front Office tasks and hotel systems (Microsoft Office, PMS systems)
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and networking skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are advantageous

Key Responsibilities:

Financial & Audit

  • Audit daily revenue reports to ensure all income is accurately recorded
  • Verify departure reports and guest checkout folios to identify discrepancies
  • Review allowances, rebates, discounts, paid outs, and room transfers for accuracy
  • Reconcile credit card transactions and close batches
  • Ensure correct processing of promotions, loyalty programs, and charge slips
  • Prepare and process nightly financial and handover reports
  • Balance Food & Beverage pre-lists and report discrepancies

Guest Services & Operations

  • Provide accurate information and support to guests, anticipating their needs
  • Handle guest messages, mail, packages, and faxes accurately
  • Respond effectively in emergency and safety situations
  • Oversee night operations across all outlets (Housekeeping, In-Room Dining, Stewarding, Security)
  • Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, uniform, appearance, and conduct

Team & Compliance

  • Relieve the Night Manager when required
  • Support Front Office operations and systems as needed
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety directives
  • Implement work instructions and hotel policies consistently
  • Continuously improve operational efficiency and department knowledge

  • Accurate financial reporting and reconciliations
  • Effective support of night-time hotel operations
