About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quantitative Analyst to join our team in Cape Town, working closely with a client in the Financial Services space. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and modeling skills, along with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and present reports based on business performance within the risk appetite through analysis.
- Report to monitor and advise on trends through analysis.
- Manage stakeholder expectations through model build process and the systems and strategy development process.
- Increase efficiency of the business through automating processes.
- Challenge model builds and ensure best practice.
- Seek opportunities to improve business processes, models and systems.
- Ensure data accuracy through data analysis and testing of strategy changes.
- Take corrective action where risk is identified in processes, models or reporting through analysis.
- Support the achievement of business strategy.
Requirements
- BSc in Actuarial Science, Statistics or Mathematics
- 3+ years experience in a similar environment
- Strong Analytical, Modelling and Reporting ability
- Experience in systems like R, SAS, Python and VBA
Qualifications
- BSc in Actuarial Science, Statistics or Mathematics (if applicable)
