About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Complaints Team Leader to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team that handles complaints and queries in the insurance industry, ensuring timely and effective resolution of customer concerns.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of complaint handlers to ensure efficient and effective complaint resolution
- Develop and implement processes to improve complaint handling and customer satisfaction
- Analyze and resolve complex complaints in accordance with FAIS, TCF, Long-Term Insurance Act, and Ombudsman processes
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff members on complaint handling procedures
- Maintain accurate records of complaints and resolutions
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry regulations
Requirements
- Grade 12 or LLB Degree in Law
- RE1 & RE5 Insurance qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in complaints management within the insurance or financial services industry
- 2 years of experience in a supervisory or senior support role
- Knowledge of FAIS, TCF, Long-Term Insurance Act and Ombudsman processes
- Familiarity with the insurance industry and previous experience with complaints/queries
