About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Spa Therapist to lead our luxury spa operations at a stunning safari lodge in the Western Cape. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional wellness experiences, managing day-to-day spa operations, and maintaining the highest standards of guest care and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day spa operations
  • Deliver exceptional spa treatments and wellness experiences to guests
  • Maintain the highest standards of guest care, professionalism, and service excellence
  • Develop and enhance wellness offerings and guest experiences
  • Manage spa bookings, scheduling, and treatment availability
  • Monitor stock levels and oversee spa product ordering and control
  • Ensure treatment rooms and spa facilities are maintained to luxury standards
  • Train, mentor, and support spa team members where applicable
  • Promote wellness programmes, treatments, and retail products
  • Maintain hygiene, health, and safety standards at all times
  • Handle guest feedback and special requests professionally and efficiently
  • Collaborate with lodge management to enhance the overall guest journey

Requirements

  • Recognised Spa Therapy qualification
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a luxury spa environment
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of wellness, holistic therapies, and guest wellbeing practices
  • Experience with a wide range of massage and beauty treatments
  • Excellent communication and guest relations skills
  • Professional, polished, and service-driven presentation
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Ability to work independently and lead by example
