About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to join our luxury safari lodge in Kruger National Park. As a culinary professional, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding dining experiences in a remote, high-end hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all kitchen operations and food production
- Design and implement innovative, high-quality menus in line with lodge standards
- Lead, train, and manage the kitchen team to ensure consistent excellence
- Maintain strict hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards
- Manage stock control, ordering, and food cost efficiency
- Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction
- Collaborate with management to deliver an elevated dining experience
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef in a luxury lodge or high-end hospitality environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent culinary ability with a focus on fine dining standards
- Ability to work under pressure in a remote environment
- Strong organisational and stock management skills
