About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Centurion, supporting our transformation strategy and ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and effective financial controls. The successful candidate will report to the Financial Manager and play a key role in month-end, year-end, and audit processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounting: Sound and effective document and accounting record keeping.
- Monthly Management Accounts: Preparation and review of monthly management accounts.
- General Ledger Reconciliations: Ensuring accurate general ledger reconciliations.
- Petty Cash Management: Manage and reconcile petty cash.
- Payments to Creditors: Processing of payments and collections via Hyphen and PACS system, verification and reporting on monthly payroll salary inputs, and authorizing of payments to sundry and payroll creditors.
- Fixed Assets Management: Management of fixed assets.
- Journal Entries and Accruals: Reviewing of journal entries, accruals, and provisions.
- Risk Management: Ensuring strong governance, regulatory (NCR) compliance, and risk management by implementing effective controls, maintaining compliant policies and procedures, strengthening fraud prevention, and minimizing financial and regulatory risk.
