About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in Constantia, supporting a diverse portfolio of businesses across multiple entities. With previous hospitality experience, you will bring valuable insight and expertise to our finance and admin function.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and process supplier invoices on Xero
- Manage customer invoicing across multiple platforms
- Import petty cash files and reconcile expenses
- Import bank statements and perform regular bank reconciliations
- Reconcile creditor accounts and send statements
- Send debtor statements and follow up on collections
- Process manual journals, including VAT and EMP201 journals
- Allocate payments from SnapScan, Yoco, Dineplan, Ikentoo, and Lightspeed
- Payroll, HR, and administration tasks
- Process weekly wages and monthly salaries
- Support HR tasks using the Human Capital Management system
- Maintain accurate filing and archiving systems
- Respond to email queries and provide general admin support
- Load and manage business payments across banking platforms
- Complete supplier credit applications
- Assist team members with ad hoc admin and finance-related tasks
Requirements
- Proven bookkeeping experience, ideally across multiple entities
- Strong working knowledge of Xero
- Experience with payroll processing and basic HR administration
- Solid understanding of bank reconciliations, creditors, and debtors
- Comfortable working with multiple invoicing and payment platforms
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and work independently while supporting a broader team
