About the Role
The Senior Engineering Manager will lead and manage the engineering function in a fast-paced environment, driving innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will oversee process optimisation, project delivery, and continuous improvement initiatives, while ensuring compliance with internationally recognised manufacturing and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the engineering function
- Drive Lean Manufacturing practices
- Support new product introductions
- Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards (IATF 16949 and ISO 14001)
- Manage budgets
- Lead cross-functional teams
- Provide technical expertise in automation, tooling, and process control
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
Requirements
- BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5 years engineering management experience in automotive manufacturing
- Strong project management and process improvement (Lean and Six Sigma) expertise
- Knowledge of automotive quality systems
