About the Role

Network Finance is seeking a skilled Senior Electrical Technician to join our team in Durban North. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, test, and commission electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in compliance with regulations.
  • Inspect electrical components, such as circuit breakers, transformers, and switchboards.
  • Diagnose electrical faults and carry out repairs on industrial, commercial, or domestic systems.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
  • Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and company’s safety policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all electrical work performed.
  • Collaborate with other trades and departments to support site operation or project completion.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Trade Test Certificate (Electrician) – recognised by the Department of Labour
  • Valid Wireman’s Licence (advantageous)
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in industrial, commercial, or construction environments
  • Knowledge of single-phase and three-phase systems
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety procedures
