About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to join our Operations team in Durban, responsible for optimizing processes and ensuring continuous improvement in our automotive manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage cross-functional projects and teams to achieve production goals
- Implement and maintain quality control systems to ensure high standards of product quality
- Develop and manage budgets to optimize resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and implement ESG practices
- Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic plans
- Collaborate with senior management to achieve business objectives
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years experience in Automotive Manufacturing
- At least 5 years of experience in Operations Management
- Degree in Engineering required
- Strong understanding of Automotive Manufacturing processes and principles
- Proven ability to optimize processes for continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Solid understanding of Quality Control Systems
- Experience with Team Management and Cross-functional Project Management
- Knowledge of Production Management and Budget Management practices
- Familiarity with Health and Safety Compliance regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Valid Driver’s License and own Transport required
Salary & Benefits
Basic Salary of up to R 75 000, negotiable based on experience. Benefits include Provident and Medical Aid, as well as an Annual Performance Bonus.
