About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Junior Procurement Officer to join our team at our Cape Town Branch. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our company’s operational procedures are followed, and that we achieve our procurement goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work to the Company’s Standard Operational Procedures Plan
  • Prioritise and process Procurement activities
  • Request quotations and process Purchase Orders from Suppliers (telephonically or emailed)
  • Provide Sales Staff with product and Service information and support
  • Monitor Zero, Low and Non Stock Items for Pricing and Buying when necessary for Sales Orders and Stock Levels
  • Liaise with and support other Departments regarding all Procurement related queries
  • Identify, research and resolve Supplier Issues
  • Follow Up on outstanding Orders
  • Keep proper record of all pricing requests and feedback
  • Manage Procurement and Pricing within Company margins

Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • Two to Three years Procurement experience
  • Computer experience
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
  • Afrikaans highly advantageous
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Team Player
