About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Junior Procurement Officer to join our team at our Cape Town Branch. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our company’s operational procedures are followed, and that we achieve our procurement goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Work to the Company’s Standard Operational Procedures Plan
- Prioritise and process Procurement activities
- Request quotations and process Purchase Orders from Suppliers (telephonically or emailed)
- Provide Sales Staff with product and Service information and support
- Monitor Zero, Low and Non Stock Items for Pricing and Buying when necessary for Sales Orders and Stock Levels
- Liaise with and support other Departments regarding all Procurement related queries
- Identify, research and resolve Supplier Issues
- Follow Up on outstanding Orders
- Keep proper record of all pricing requests and feedback
- Manage Procurement and Pricing within Company margins
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Two to Three years Procurement experience
- Computer experience
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
- Afrikaans highly advantageous
- Good interpersonal skills
- Team Player
