About the Role
Join a manufacturing team as a Millwright in the Western Cape, playing a crucial role in maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, carrying out electrical and mechanical repairs and upgrades, inspecting serviced equipment, and maintaining and updating maintenance registers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Carry out electrical and mechanical repairs and upgrades
- Inspect serviced equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Maintain and update maintenance registers
- Conduct root cause analysis on breakdowns
- Identify critical spares
- Support workshop maintenance standards
Requirements
- N4 qualification in Millwirking or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with VSDs, electric motor control, pneumatic systems, and PLCs is advantageous
Qualifications
- Formal education/certification in Millwirking (if applicable)
