Job Description
This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including commercial buildings, steel structures, and civil infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities

Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings using Revit for all structural elements, including concrete, masonry, timber, and structural steel

Prepare, update, and manage detailed drawings in AutoCAD

Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project teams to ensure design intent is accurately translated into construction documentation

Review and update drawings to reflect project changes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with engineering standards
-
Maintain well-organized and up-to-date drawing files and project documentation
-
Provide technical input and recommendations to improve drawing quality and project efficiency

Mentor junior draughtspersons and provide guidance on best draughting and documentation practices
Qualifications & Experience

Matric (essential)
-
Tertiary qualification in Engineering Draughting, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field (preferred)

Approximately 10 years experience in engineering draughting, ideally across both structural and civil projects

Proven experience producing detailed construction drawings
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Technical Skills

AutoCAD advanced proficiency

Revit advanced proficiency

Strong understanding of construction materials and methods, including concrete, masonry, timber, and steel

Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary project teams

Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and time management
