About the Role
Unique Personnel Ltd is seeking an experienced Utilities and Facilities Manager to oversee the operation, maintenance, and optimization of utility systems and site facilities in Ekurhuleni. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring uninterrupted support to production, cost-efficient resource utilization, compliance with safety and quality standards, and a safe, reliable, and sustainable site infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the operation and maintenance of all critical utilities including HVAC, electrical distribution, water systems, compressed air, steam, plant equipment, boilers, chillers, generators, and UPS systems.
- Ensure utilities operate within validated parameters and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure maximum equipment uptime.
- Monitor energy consumption and drive efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
- Responsible for supply of all utilities and maintain plant equipment with minimum breakdowns.
- Monitor system performance, identify inefficiencies, and implement optimization measures.
- Ensure maintenance and compliance of all site buildings and infrastructure, including manufacturing areas, warehouses, offices, laboratories, amenities, and external areas.
Requirements
- National Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Facilities Management, or equivalent.
- Trade Test (Electrical/Mechanical/Millwright) advantageous.
- Government Certificate Competency (GCC) Factories advantageous or working towards attainment.
- Professional registration with ECSA advantageous.
- Additional certifications in Facilities Management, Energy Management, or Project Management will be an asset.
