About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Reservations Consultant for a luxury property group based in Franschhoek. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional with strong administrative skills and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and accurately to all incoming emails and messages
- Answer phone calls courteously and professionally
- Ensure all reservations are efficiently handled and accurately recorded in the PMS
- Maintain full knowledge of all rates, including rack and contracted STO rates
- Keep reservation records organised and easily retrievable
- Be fully conversant with internal PMS and external booking systems (e.g., Booking.com)
- Check daily bookings prior to guest arrival for accuracy and confirmations
- Follow up on provisional reservations before expiry
- Track reservations accurately for statistical purposes
- Maintain and utilise guest history files correctly
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of rooms, suites, activities, facilities, and local area competitors
- Understand all special offers and property logistics, providing guidance to guests and agents
Requirements
Previous experience in a reservations or hospitality role preferred
Excellent organisational, administrative, and time management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Proficient in Microsoft Office and reservation systems
Professional, courteous, and guest-focused approach
