About the Role
We are seeking a highly polished and experienced Guest Relations / Senior Front Office Hostess / Estate Duty Manageress to join our exclusive luxury estate in Franschhoek. As the key contact for all guests, you will be responsible for ensuring an exceptional experience from arrival to check-out, while also coordinating various activities and services throughout the estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Check rooms for arrivals and follow up on all reservations
- Update bookings and specific guest requests for rooms and dietary requirements
- Welcome and orientate guests on arrival
- Coordinate with all departments regarding guests’ activities and schedules
- Monitor guests’ activities throughout the estate and communicate any updates to all teams
- Liaise and coordinate with external parties/companies regarding guest needs, tours, purchases, personal requests, etc.
- Maintain & update digital inventory records
- Assist with set-up of various facilities, restaurant & public areas
- Handle stock takes and purchases for public areas such as guest stationery, candles & general supplies
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service
- Knowledge of wine industry (desirable)
Qualifications
- Formal education in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or related field (Bachelor’s degree)
- Relevant work experience in front office, guest relations, or estate management
