About the Role

The MPRTC Recruitment team is seeking a Trainee Manager – Retail/FMCG to join our client’s team in the Free State region. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, leading teams, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with managing day-to-day retail operations
• Supervise staff across various departments (receiving, cash office, administration, sales floor)
• Develop and implement strategies to improve sales and customer satisfaction
• Lead by example, promoting a positive work environment and culture
• Collaborate with other teams to achieve business objectives

Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric (essential)
• Relevant Retail/FMCG qualification (advantageous)
• At least 5 years’ experience in Retail/FMCG across departments (receiving, cash office, administration, sales floor)
• Minimum 3 years’ supervisory experience
• Strong organisational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Good knowledge of retail operations and reporting
• Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); SAP/Unisolv experience an advantage
