Job Description

Komatsu South Africa is looking for a driven and technically strong Product Specialist to join our Aftermarket team. This role focuses on Undercarriage, Filters, Oils & Lubricants, supporting sales growth, customer engagement, and product expertise across mining and construction operations. Key Responsibilities Sales & Customer Engagement Drive aftermarket parts sales across UC / Filters / Oils product lines Build and maintain strong relationships with customers at all levels Conduct site visits, technical consultations, and customer presentations Prepare quotations, analyse customer needs, and provide tailored solutions Perform wallet share analysis and identify opportunities for growth Product Expertise & Support Provide technical guidance on aftermarket products Analyse machine and workshop data to support parts recommendations Stay updated on product developments and industry trends Resolve customer queries and complaints effectively Training & Development Deliver product training to internal teams and customers Facilitate workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions Collaborate with suppliers and technical experts Supplier & Inventory Management Manage supplier relationships and service level agreements Monitor stock levels, demand forecasts, and product availability Ensure compliance with Komatsu standards and quality requirements Minimum Requirements Degree or Diploma in a Technical Field 46 years experience in a similar technical or sales role Strong experience with Undercarriage, Filters, Oils Proven customer engagement and relationship-building skills Experience in supplier management and aftermarket environment Valid drivers license Technical Skills SAP (BI Reporting, Stock Monitoring, Analysis) Strong data analysis and reporting capability Key Competencies We are looking for someone who is: Customer-focused and results-driven A strong communicator and persuasive influencer Able to build long-term relationships Resilient, proactive, and solution-oriented Comfortable engaging at all organisational levels A self-starter with high integrity and professionalism Work Environment Mining and construction sites (above ground) Customer locations, depots, and supplier environments Physically active role requiring site engagement
