Job Description

Minimum Requirements

  • Qualified Artisan in one of the following:
    • Fitting & Turning
    • Tool, Jig & Die Making
    • Millwright
  • 5–10 years’ CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Extensive practical experience in CNC turning (non-negotiable)
  • CNC milling experience advantageous
  • Proficiency in Mastercam and/or Edgecam
  • Strong machine setup and programming capability
  • Ability to optimise machining processes, feeds, and speeds
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and precision tolerances
  • Experience with machine troubleshooting and process improvement
  • Exposure to plastic manufacturing / moulding / 3D machining advantageous
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Own reliable transport

Key Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC turning machines
  • Perform precision machining to strict engineering tolerances
  • Optimise machine performance, tooling selection, and cycle times
  • Interpret technical drawings and machining specifications accurately
  • Conduct machine setup adjustments and process improvements
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and minimise downtime
  • Support CNC milling operations where required
  • Maintain tooling and ensure machine readiness
  • Perform quality inspections on machined components
  • Ensure production targets, quality standards, and operational deadlines are met
  • Maintain safe working practices and machine housekeeping standards
