Job Title: Deputy Director – Internal Audit Services Location: [Pretoria] Reports to: Director of Internal Audit Services Summary: The Deputy Director of Internal Audit Services is responsible for assisting the Director in overseeing and managing all aspects of the internal audit function within the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of internal audit principles, practices, and procedures in order to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities: – Assist the Director in developing and implementing internal audit policies and procedures – Provide guidance and direction to internal audit staff in conducting audits and reviews – Review and analyze audit reports, findings, and recommendations for accuracy and completeness – Assist in the development of audit plans and risk assessments – Collaborate with other departments to identify and address areas of potential risk and non-compliance – Assist in the preparation of audit reports for senior management and the board of directors – Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to internal audit Qualifications: – Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; Master’s degree preferred – Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification – Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal audit, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role – Strong knowledge of internal audit standards, principles, and practices – Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills – Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities – Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as Deputy Director of Internal Audit Services. Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presenting findings and recommendations.
