About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Finance Manager to join our client in Gauteng on a 6-month contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and management, ensuring the effective governance of the organization’s finances.
Key Responsibilities
- Full Financial Management Function including debtors, creditors, cashflow management, payroll management, and asset management
- Review and sign off all financial reconciliations performed by subordinates on a monthly basis
- Assist with the development of strategies and policies
- Implementation of financial policies and procedures
- Assess existing processes, identify and implement improvements to strengthen the financial health of the entity
- Assist the CFO with strategic planning and budgets
- Provide accurate value adding financial management information
- Manage month end and year end closure processes, ensuring accuracy of Income Statement and Balance Sheet at both periods
- Preparation and submission of statutory requirements e.g. SARS
- Provide financial support for administrative functions in the entity
- Review quarterly reports for National Treasury and the Department
- Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with legislation and standards of GRAP
- Coordinate internal and external audits, and other stakeholders
- Costing of projects and sign off completed projects
- Manage service provider contract
- Manage the finance team, including all recruiting, team development, performance management, and coaching
