About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Tax Administrator to join our team in George, Western-Cape. As a key member of our tax administration team, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation and submission of tax returns, capturing and maintaining accurate tax records, and providing administrative support to senior tax consultants.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation and submission of tax returns (individuals and companies)
- Capture and maintain accurate tax records and client information
- Assist with VAT, PAYE, and provisional tax calculations
- Liaise with SARS regarding submissions, queries, and follow-ups
- Track tax deadlines and ensure timely compliance
- Support senior tax consultants with administrative and compliance tasks
- Maintain filing systems (electronic and manual)
- Respond to basic client tax queries under supervision
Requirements
- Matric (Accounting or Mathematics advantageous)
- Relevant diploma or studying towards a tax/accounting qualification advantageous
- No or limited tax experience required (training provided)
- Basic understanding of taxation principles is a plus
- Computer literate (MS Excel, Word, email)
