About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Accountant to join our client’s team in Pretoria, Gauteng. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial statements, as well as providing support with budgeting, forecasting, and tax planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review statutory returns, including CIPC Annual Return, SARS Tax Returns (VAT-201s, Income Tax Return IT14 & IT14SD), Provisional Tax IRP6 Calculation & Submission, and Annual Payroll Recon EMP501, IRP5s & Annual Financial statements reconciliation & review
• Liaise with third parties in relation to legal matters, review/audit of financial statements, insurance concerning assets, banks (Guarantees & General operational requirements)
• Prepare and review budgets, actuals, tax planning, weekly cashflow planning, local payments processing, foreign payments processing, review of accounting transactions/documents processed by credit controller
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements, management statements, and attend to any SARS audits/review
• Implement and review internal accounting controls, review and assist with completion of tender documentation
• Provide general operational reporting as required and general assistance

Requirements

• BCom degree
• SAIPA registered
• Matric
• Must be well presented and well spoken
• Manufacturing industry experience (advantage)
• Must have your own vehicle, with a valid drivers license
• Fully-bilingual (In Afrikaans and English)
• Experience with ERP systems (such as SAP)
• International and Internal Financial Exposure

Salary & Benefits

Market related salary depending on experience and qualifications. 50% Contribution to medical aid.
