Job Description

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable General Worker with mechanical experience to assist with maintenance, repairs, and general workshop or site duties. The successful candidate will support the mechanical team by ensuring equipment, tools, and work areas are maintained in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with mechanical repairs and maintenance on vehicles, machinery, or equipment.
  • Perform general workshop housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • Load and offload equipment, tools, and materials.
  • Assist mechanics with servicing and breakdown repairs.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and correctly.
  • Conduct basic inspections on machinery and report faults.
  • Ensure all safety procedures and company policies are followed.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Support site operations and perform any additional duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric preferred.
  • Previous experience as a General Worker or Mechanical Assistant.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work overtime and under pressure when required.
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual labour.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid drivers licence will be advantageous.
