About the Role
The Limpopo Career Consortium (Limcaco) is seeking an experienced Shaft Rock Engineer to join their team in Steelpoort. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and designing excavation and support systems using computer modelling programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop rock engineering plans and models
- Utilize computer modelling programs such as MAP3D, DIPS, and J Block
- Provide expertise on bord and pillar mining methods
- Collaborate with other engineers to ensure effective design and implementation
Requirements
- Chamber of Mines Rock Engineering Certificate
- BSc or B/Tech Degree in Mining Engineering or Geology at NQF level 7 or an NHD in Mining or Geology, or equivalent
- Experience in computer modelling programs for support and excavation design
- Experience in bord and pillar mining is advantageous
