About the Role
The Milling and Storage Manager will be responsible for managing the operational efficiency of the hammer mill production and the storage of lucerne, with a focus on risk management. This role is based in Jan Kempdorp, Northern Cape, and requires a strong operational background with experience in handling lucerne as a commodity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the operational efficiency of the hammer mill production
- Ensure safe and efficient storage of lucerne
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with lucerne storage
- Lead and manage a local team to drive productivity
- Maintain preventative maintenance schedules for equipment
- Develop and implement strategies for improving production efficiency
Requirements
- Basic Qualification: Operational or Agricultural tertiary qualification
- Strong Operational background
- 3 – 5 years experience in the agricultural industry
- Understanding/experience of Lucerne as a commodity
- Understand risks in the Agri-environment, with a focus on Lucerne
- Likeable/relatable person with ability to manage a local team
Qualifications
Lucerne grading certificate is essential for this role.
