About the Role
The Milling and Storage Manager role at Helderberg Personnel is based in Jan Kempdorp, Northern Cape, with a focus on managing the operational efficiency of the hammer mill production and storage of lucerne, prioritizing risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage operational efficiency of hammer mill production
- Ensure safe storage of lucerne
- Identify and mitigate risks in the agri-environment related to lucerne
- Lead and manage a local team to drive productivity
- Collaborate with third-party storage suppliers
- Implement preventative maintenance and efficiency measures in the production environment
Requirements
- Basic Qualification: Operational or Agricultural tertiary qualification
- Strong operational background
- 3 – 5 years experience
- Understanding/experience of Lucerne as a commodity
- Understanding of risks in the Agri-environment, with a focus on Lucerne
- Ability to work with a team and drive productivity
- Adaptable to deal with third-party storage suppliers
- Preventative maintenance and efficiency mind-set in a production environment
Qualifications
- Lucerne grading certificate is essential
