About the Role
The Lifeguard role at Bright Placements’ luxury lodge in Hluhluwe requires a highly skilled and experienced individual to ensure the safety and well-being of guests while delivering exceptional guest service. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining strict safety and hygiene standards, as well as providing friendly and professional service to all guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Safety & Supervision – Monitor all pool and/or beach areas to ensure guest safety at all times.
- Rescue & Emergency Response – Perform water rescues and administer first aid when required.
- Pool & Beach Maintenance Oversight – Conduct regular checks of pool cleanliness and water quality.
- Guest Experience – Provide friendly, professional service to guests at all times.
- Compliance & Safety Standards – Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Team Collaboration – Work closely with housekeeping, maintenance, and front-of-house teams.
Requirements
- Valid Lifeguard Certification (recognized body such as Lifesaving South Africa).
- CPR and First Aid certification (Level 1 or higher).
- AED (Automated External Defibrillator) training.
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
- Additional hospitality or guest service training advantageous.
