About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Research & Product Specialist to join our team in Hoedspruit. As a key member of our R&D department, you will be responsible for driving new product development and ensuring compliance with food standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with suppliers, production, and marketing teams to drive new product development from idea generation to commercialisation
  • Conduct research on processing techniques and shelf-life improvement
  • Analyse market and packaging trends to inform product development decisions
  • Assist the GM with procurement, logistics, and ordering of raw materials
  • Capture data and support month-end stock counts

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in food technology/food science
  • Minimum of three years plus experience in R&D
  • Experience in food formulation, processing technologies, lab testing, compliance with food standards, HACCP, and regulatory requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
