A leading packaging company situated in Gauteng is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Blow Moulding Technician to join their team.

The successful incumbent for this position will be responsible for:

• Understand the importance of Safety in the work place
• Ability to travel locally and internationally for up to three months away
• Knowledge of Injection and plastic moulding
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
• Ability to fault find using various techniques, to achieve a systemic methods of problem solving
• Attention to detail, ability to focus and resolve various problems
• Ability to communicate at all the levels of the business
• Work well as part of a team, willingness to learn and share knowledge.
• Ability to self-manage and manage small teams during planned work.
• Knowledge of maintenance systems.
• Ability to write technical reports and compile audits- Detailed and accurate.
• Have the ability to be an ambassador for your company and promote the companys products.
• The Ability to handle conflict in a professional way.
• Traveling regularly to our customers, nationally and Internationally (up to 75% travel), you will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, installing, or upgrading all company products.
• You will help our customers optimize their operations with onsite training and follow-up visits
• You will be responsible for the execution and follow-up of your customer visits, creating detailed reports and offering advice to promote company products and services
• You should be a self-starter that understands the importance of customer satisfaction and can be an ambassador for our strong core values

Key requirements:

• Qualified Mechanical Fitter, Qualified Electrician or Qualified Millwright
• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering would be advantages
• 5 years experience in blow moulding
• Relevant experience in the packaging industry
• Knowledge in PLC controls and in industrial automated systems
